Kafin & Dita’s Wedding Invitation

Books & Print  |  Event & Exhibition

The uniquely designed wedding invitation crafted in a peculiar style specifically for jazz lover couple like Kafin and Dita. We put a lot of hidden elements from this couple’s taste & references, one of them being Herb Ellis & Remo Palmier’s Windflower cover album art as the main vocal point on the design— and the simplified partiture of Chet Baker’s Time After Time spread throughout all of the surface of the invitation.

“Time After Time” is a jazz standard about nostalgia with lyrics written by Sammy Cahn and music by Jule Styne in 1946.

The first recording was on November 19, 1946 for Musicraft by Sarah Vaughan with the Teddy Wilson Quartet: Wilson on piano, Charlie Ventura on tenor saxophone, Remo Palmieri on guitar, and Billy Taylor on double bass.

The song was written for Frank Sinatra in the 1947 film It Happened in Brooklyn. The pianist providing the music offstage was André Previn. Sinatra recorded it again in 1957 with the Nelson Riddle Orchestra.

Team Notes
“It’s a pleasing project with a lot of room for creativity and expression. What’s relieving about clients with great taste is how it could develop and grow our own taste as well.”
